DOOR-CLEARANCE CHECK A machine can be smaller than a container’s internal height and still be too tall or too wide for the door opening. Always calculate the loading path, not only the final stowage position.
Bakery machinery combines stainless-steel surfaces, painted frames, motors, heating systems, touchscreens and precision components. Packaging should protect the equipment from shock, vibration, salt-laden moisture, condensation and repeated handling. For long sea voyages, a thin stretch film alone is not sufficient.
Food-contact surfaces and control components should arrive clean, dry and protected from abrasion and moisture.

Loading is an engineering and operational step, not simply a matter of filling empty space. Heavy mixers and oven bases should be positioned with container payload and axle distribution in mind. Tall equipment needs a wide support base and restraint against tipping. Light accessories should not be placed where they can be crushed by a heavy frame.
The loading team should use suitable timber, blocks, braces, straps, chains or other approved securing materials according to the cargo and container. The IMO/ILO/UNECE CTU Code is an internationally recognized reference for the safe packing and securing of cargo transport units.[2] Photographs should document the empty container condition, each loading stage, the final securing arrangement, container number and seal.

Bakery equipment may be classified under different HS headings depending on its exact function and power source. Machinery for industrial food preparation, non-electric industrial ovens and electric industrial ovens may not share the same classification. Indonesia’s BTKI is the official reference for customs classification and tariff treatment, and the importer should confirm the final HS code, taxes, licensing, standards and any restriction requirements before booking.[3]
IMPORTANT Do not rely on a supplier’s generic HS code without checking the exact machine. Used machinery, gas-fired equipment, refrigerant-containing units or products with batteries, oil and other controlled components may require additional review.

Can bakery equipment be shipped by LCL?
Yes, compact machines and spare parts can often move by LCL when the crates are strong enough for terminal handling. Heavy, tall, delicate or multi-machine orders may be safer and more economical in a dedicated container.
Is a 40' HQ always best for commercial ovens?
No. The choice depends on packed dimensions, door clearance, gross weight and loading method. Some ovens fit a 40' HQ after detachable sections are removed; others require an open-top, flat rack or a revised packing design.
Can equipment from several Chinese suppliers be shipped together?
